Feb 23rd is the LAST date for the season – only 3 spots left – don’t miss it!!!
Join acclaimed Photographer, Author and Outdoor Photographer Magazine Contributor, Cheyenne L Rouse for an exciting Photo Workshop on location in Apache Junction, Arizona. This historic little town is a quick 25 minute drive east of Scottsdale on the famed Apache Trail. In this afternoon workshop you will be stepping back into the 1800’s and under the shadow of the mystical Superstition Mountains. The photo opportunities at the Superstition Mountain Museum and surrounding area are endless with “Old West” and mining relics of the past at every turn not to mention the stunning scenic wonder of the area that is nothing less than awe-inspiring. Nestled at the foothills of the dramatic Superstition Mountains the Museum is also home to several of the buildings that once graced the Apacheland Movie Studio lot including the beautiful Elvis Memorial Chapel, which still holds weddings today. If you love the legend and the lore of the Wild West then this is the photo workshop for you.
As a Professional Photographer for over 25 years, Cheyenne has taken Digital Fine Art Photography into bold new directions; her innovative and inspiring photographs hang in collector’s homes and offices throughout the world. The focus of this workshop is to enhance your creative vision and learn to see the detail that makes up a sense of “place”. With Cheyenne’s guidance you will leave with a renewed sense of confidence and skill that will help you take your photography to the next level. Along the way Cheyenne will guide and assist you with composition, lighting and the perfect shooting angles and get you to the perfect spot with the perfect light so you can return home with golden treasures!
We will meet at the Superstition Mountain Museum, 3 ½ miles NE of Apache Junction in the afternoon. After quick introductions and a little paperwork we will get right to work since there is a lot to shoot and we don’t want to miss a thing. We will begin with a “photo tour” of the museum grounds and buildings and then set up for a gorgeous shot of the Superstition Mountains in all of their glory. After a full afternoon of shooting photos we will head back over to the “Elvis Chapel” to shoot additional photos in the golden evening light of the Sonoran Desert. We will definitely find the “Lost Dutchman’s Gold” with our cameras on this fun afternoon.
